STUDY is exhausted after an exhilarating, inspiring and all too brief afternoon at the DANK Haus in Lincoln Square. The turnout was unbelievable; beyond anything we'd ever imagined. Would you believe there were literally lines around the block? Shocking truth after the jump...

STUDY is in the final stages of compiling colors, photos and swatches for a client mood board. We'd like to say that we're being completely selfless in this endeavor... then along came the Hutton.

There's a salon on Lawrence - not far from the Dank Haus - that we pass each time we're headed out to the 'burbs for an estate sale or some other event that would require otherwise sane people to dredge through weekend traffic in Albany Park. It's not the most charming neighborhood, but we sort of look forward to/cringe each time we pass Janecy, or Janacey, or Some-Such-Madness Salon. You see, they've committed the biggest sin known in all sole proprietorship-dom: Creating a sign with Papyrus font.

The Vintage Bazaar is a mere four days away which means it's GO time here at STUDY HQ. When we set out on this here design blog we never imagined that restaurant reviews would be included in the mix, but when a culinary experience wows you so thoroughly you can't help but take note. We've long been fans of Chicago brunch spots like Lula Cafe, Nightwood and Harmony Grill, and were on the hunt for a similar experience during our recent trip to New York. Enter Prune.

STUDY's been eager to check out the Brooklyn Flea since it's inception in 2008 and our trip to NYC last weekend provided just the opportunity. After a Sunday morning stroll across the Brooklyn bridge we headed up to Fort Greene to check out not only the market, but also it's gorgeous Winter digs in the historic Williamsburgh Bank Building.

As with everything that is righteous and awesome in the universe, our trip to New York was all too brief. We did manage, however, to fit in time with friends, a flea market or two and plenty of picture-taking.
