We haven't decided on a theme for 2011 as of yet, but judging by the looks of things, The Year of Comfort and Lounging is definitely in the running thanks to our new Rens sheepskin rug from IKEA. Not that we don't plan on being insanely productive and ambitious in the coming year... as they say, it's not about working harder, it's about working smarter. Which I plan on doing while burying my feet in this glorious hide for a few hours*.
Never mind that we have yet to install the quarter round in the living room - it is coming - but this rug was one of those finishing touches you didn't even know you needed until it found it's way onto your ottoman and into your heart. We actually bought two that were meant for the bedroom, but lest we turn into crazy sheepskin rug aficionados, two will have to do rounds throughout the house as needed.
And given that we've spent the last two years purging any trace of Ikea from the house, it's also kind of surprising that we'd be so over the moon with the Rens, but this is Ikea at its best: simple, cost-effective, completely un-PC and not overly designed.
Stop wasting time and follow your bliss already.
