Where Are They Now: Vintage Slipper Chairs
Who knew we'd have another Where Are They Now post up so soon? You never know when you're going to run into a piece of furniture you've sold, but we had a hunch that these chairs would pop up in some new and amazing incarnation since we sold them to our friend Karen Morava, owner of the Careful Peach Boutique in Oak Park. Part slipper chair, part bergère, Karen had grand plans when she saw these chairs in our inventory. Astounding results after the jump.

And After:
Karen had the pair reupholstered in a light blue chenille with silver brads lining the base and back. Where they were once very mid-century looking and very embroidered...
...the pair have now taken on a new life and fit in perfectly in the ĂĽber-french, luxe surroundings of The Careful Peach. We're also happy to report that these two have already sold!
The chairs' fantastic-ness really speaks for itself, but in case you needed any more convincing, please see exhibit a. - Kelly Wearstler's lobby for Maison 140 in Los Angeles:
We're 99.9% sure the black and white chairs in the foreground are the EXACT same pair as the one Karen had reupholstered. This just goes to show how incredibly versatile vintage furnishings can be and we hope you can have your very own Karen Morava/Kelly Wearstler moment when STUDY hits The Vintage Bazaar in Pilsen on May 14th.
