The Big Easy Lonny
via Lonny
We continue our love/hate relationship with online magazines today as Lonny releases its third issue of 2011. We love them since they provide an opportunity to get a look at spaces that aren't on the radar of major shelter mags, but we hate them in toto because browsing a magazine online and "flipping" through pages is awkward beyond belief. And $34.85 for a print version!?!? No thank you. So in the interest of public service and general do-goodism, we've pulled a few of our favorite spaces from the current issue... just in case your the type who still buys periodicals from a newsstand.
The theme of this issue was "New Orleans" and you know how much we love that city! Check out the excellent mix of classic and contemporary spaces:
Fairly certain a banister cum velvet rope isn't up to code, but it sure does look fetching.

Not in New Orleans, but great mix of textures/materials here.

This most definitely will not help with our green sofa obsession.

Apparently all you need for a home office these days is a tiny white laptop and a ton of lamps.

If you could take a picture of everything that is right about New Orleans interiors, this would be it.

Chevron + lucite + geode = All that is ubiquitous and perfect about design in 2011.

This photo is going into the permanent file under what a bathroom in heaven looks like.

Sort of amazing... and sort of ridiculous. Regardless, I now what a giant geode and a non-working fireplace.

This could've been pulled directly from a Jayson Home & Garden catalog and that is a very good thing.

Normally not a fan of lamp tables, but we'll make an exception here.

Nook look.

And last but not least... wheat sheaf lamp... whose base lights up... on a burled side table.

Put a fork in us, we're dunzo... and don't forget to pick up something gold and wheaty from us this weekend:
